Michael Jackson is expected to announce a series of UK live dates tomorrow (5 March) for his first tour in 12 years.
In a move that could mirror Prince's 21-night stint at the O2 in 2007, the 50-year-old singer is thought to have exchanged contracts with promoters over a lengthy London residency.
Additional UK venues could be added to his schedule, should demand necessitate it.
Speculation about Jackson's future as a performer increased earlier this year when his spokesman, Tohme Tohme, said the singer had returned to Los Angeles in order to relaunch his career.
Despite reports about the singer's supposed bad health, a statement from Tohme said: "The second half (of Jackson's career) will be better than the first."
One insider apparently told the Daily Mirror that the singer was in "fine form".
They added: "There has been a lot of speculation about his health, but it has been totally unfounded.
"We are not going to put Michael on stage in front of thousands of people if he's not 100 per cent."
For the latest news on the dates, as soon as they are announced, check back here tomorrow from 4pm.
Promoters are expecting tickets to sell out in minutes.
