'Poker Face' relegates Comic Relief efforts
Lady GaGa has topped this week's UK Singles Chart.
'Poker Face' stormed past Flo Rida's 'Right Round' and Rob Brydon and Ruth Jones's Comic Relief single 'Islands In The Stream' to become the US star’s second UK No.1 single.
The feat is particularly impressive as 'Poker Face' had already been in the UK Top 20 for 10 consecutive weeks before hitting the top spot.
Gavin & Stacey stars Rob and Ruth were forced to settle for No.3, but faired mildly better than the other charity cover in the Top 5. The Saturdays' cover of Depeche Mode's 'Just Can't Get Enough' dropped one place to No.4
US country sensation Taylor Swift completed the Top 5 with 'Love Story'.
Elsewhere, Boyzone mainman Ronan Keating is No.1 in this week's UK Albums Chart with his perfectly timed solo collection, Songs For My Mother.
