Lady Gaga has an unusual reason for donning skimpy garments - her grandma.
The singer - who was recently photographed in wintry London wearing a PVC corset and hotpants - says it's the only way her partially-sighted relative can make her out in photographs.
Gaga told Rolling Stone magazine: "My grandmother is basically blind, but she can make out the lighter parts, like my skin and hair.
"She says, 'I can see you, because you have no pants on.' So I'll continue to wear no pants so that my grandma can see me."
But the 22-year-old star is hoping that her gran-pleasing look catches on, as she explained: "I can't wait to do my own line (of clothing)
"It's definitely something I want to do in the next year as I do have my own style."
