The Girls Aloud singer is reportedly set to write a series of romantic novels aimed at young women.
The People claims that Cheryl is in the midst of completing a £5m deal with publishing house HarperCollins in exchange for four "chick-lit" books.
A source told the newspaper: "She was a singing star in Girls Aloud, but after her instant success as a judge on X Factor she's reached another level.
"Girl fans love her and they will all want to read her books."
Never thought of Cheryl as the bookish type? Neither did she, apparently.
The source added: "She hadn't previously thought of writing, but she's come around to the idea."
