
Britney Spears's new single is set to be banned from broadcast on US radio stations.
''If You Seek Amy', the third single from Circus, could be refused air time after it became obvious that the song's title, and a significant part of the chorus, could be construed as an alternative spelling of 'F * * * me'.
Patti Marshall, program director of Cincinnati's Q102 told MTV: "It's OK to put it on an album, have fun with it, but we're publicly owned, you know?
She added: "We have a responsibility to the public. [We're] not all fuddy-duddies, like we're trying to make moral judgments.
"It's not about us, it's about the mother in the minivan with her eight-year-old."
