Elbow top critic and public poll

Elbow's The Seldom Seen Kid has been voted album of the year by a selection of critics and members of the public.
Bury's thoughtful indie quintet won this year's Mercury Music Prize with the album, their fourth.
HMV's poll surveyed critics, staff at the firm and online customers.
Portishead's Third came in second, with Nick Cave's Dig, Lazurus, Dig taking bronze.
The rest of the Top 10 saw many familiar names from critical end of year polls, with New Yorkers Vampire Weekend hitting No.5 with their self-titled debut, and Hot Chip reaching No.10 with Made In The Dark.
Duffy's Rockferry, the UK's biggest-selling album of the year, managed No.28 in the poll.
